It's been several decades since I last read up on nudism (pre-internet), checking out books from libraries and ordering brochures from several resorts. So I can only assume the definitions have changed over the years. We used to refer to nudist places in these terms:
Naturist Resorts: Where sexuality (erections, masturbation, sex) was taboo and children were permitted. Definitely wholesome, back to Mother-Nature family-type places.
Nudist Resorts: Where sexuality (erections, masturbation, sometimes consensual sex) were permitted. Absolutely no children or teenagers permitted. One I actually visited off-hours (clothed) had an age limit of 25.
It seems semantics have changed and that Naturism now includes social movements and ideologies not previously embraced. And Nudism these days seems to align more closely with what we used to think of as naturism. Fascinating!
