I recently got my first wax, and it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. As far as the visit... my aesthetician was nice looking enough, but I didn't get hard at all. I was probably too preoccupied with the potential pain to even think about the fact that she was handling me.
It won't be my last visit, so who knows how I'll react when I know what is coming, though. You are not asking for my vote, but I say keep going to the lady you have seen a few times and enjoy it.
