Our vacation house has been more like a vacant house. We try going down about once a month, and sometimes one of the kids and their family will go down for a weekend, but largely it just sits empty.
This summer, it's going to get a lot more use... so my husband and I went up not long ago to do a bit of painting and to do a few repairs to get it ready....
My son and daughter in law surprised us and showed up to help...
My daughter in law and I were painting the family room that's in the basement. My husband and son were outside doing work (cleaning the gutters and power washing the siding/side walks), making use of the unseasonably warm day.
We have music going, going to town painting... Well, I had to pee, so I hit the bathroom down stairs... Little did I know, my son had completed the power washing and was filthy and wet... apparently he yelled out that he was stripping entrance hall and was going to run to their room naked.... but we didn't here it... I just seen him run past naked....
