Legendary rock superstar and bad-ass composer John Lennon (b. 1940) died on December 8, 1980, the victim of irrational violent crime. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of his passing, this megathread will include enhanced versions of all non-watermarked images of the Lennon model from Andy Golub's New York Body Painting Day 2015. The theme of the day was "What the World Needs Now…," and the event was designed "to encourage artists to share their vision of what would make the world a better place."

The thread will include redux versions of 270 photographs, organized in a roughly sequential order, from various sources (Flickr, Smugmug, Instagram, etc). All credit goes to the artist, photographers, and model.
