At the turn of the century these contests were very common at Cap d'Agde when the village was still mostly family-oriented. I used to go there either with my wife and/or with girlfriends. Some of the contests were dedicated to younger girls and were very "natural": parents were present and everything was friendly. Naturism was in its classical and safest attitude.
Unfortunately most of these contests were filmed and photographed, mostly by the parents of the girls but also by people that attended the show and later the films started to circulate in the internet and in the pedopornographic rings. To my knowledge (I have not been at the Cap in the last ten years or so) these contests rightfully have been cancelled even though nothing inappropriate has ever appened, at least I have not seen anything inappropriate when I was there. They were very familiar and joyful happenings ruined by mentally ill perverts.
