My wife has always been contradictory, and even more-so since the pandemic. She does a dozen contradictory things a week.
Just this morning her mom dropped off some stuff, my wife was braless, she walked around with her arms over her nipples, and I tried to hug her before going down to my office and she stopped me and said not when her mom was there.
Then this same afternoon, only a few hours later, my wife was still braless in the same top when her mom came by to drop off more stuff, but my wife didn't have her hand over her nipples, and she flashed me when I came upstairs from my office to say hi to her mom, with her mom standing behind her and knowing exactly what she was doing.
That is just one of dozens of examples. Don't get me started on her whole "Don't show affection when people are around" vs "Why didn't' you try coming on to me, it usually turns me on so much when people are nearby!" I give up.
