I first saw an issue of Select in the early 70's at a conveniance store in Oklahoma...it was sandwiched in amongst "True Detective", "Real Men" and "True", which I thought was unusual since while Select didn't show hardcore, it didn't even show pubic hair for the longest time, it was much more racier than the other magazines on the store rack. I purchased one issue and was hooked....here were real people I could meet and have sex with if I ever went to their towns. I quickly developed favorites and would eagerly await new issues to see if they updated their photos. I remember Jan from Pensacola amongst some of the others you have posted. My one complaint with Select was their publishing schedule, which was hap hazard at best. It advertised as every other month but I doubt if they ever actually kept to that schedule. I do remember when they started promoting a Select member decal so that others could identify you. I was at a minor league ball game when I saw a car parked in the lot with a decal on it. I spent the whole game scanning the crowd to try and determine who it might have belonged to. I am not sure I would have had the guts back then to approach anyone who I saw getting into the car, but I never figured out who it was. I also purchased and enjoyed Seekers, which was a slightly smaller version of Select. I do not remember which of those I first saw Rita, aka Jaime, in but do remember it started my fascination with her which has lasted all these years. Thanks for posting the scans and bringing up good memories of hours I spent perusing ads and fantasizing about all these people who were apparently eager to meet me.
