Welcome - glad you're here, and sorry it's not turning out as you thought.
This place is what you make of it - I have frequently read and "thanked" others, and have a few threads that I started, back when I had the opportunity to make more original content. Some of those threads were embraced and others were almost completely ignored (as far as thanks for comments) despite being read. I don't know the secret to success.
I am, however, betting that if you post your content you'll be welcomed with "thanks" and at least a little text commentary. Hopefully that's enough for you.
