Rewind a little, a few years ago I had lost a USB stick in the car when I was upgrading the version of android on the stereo. It only had the upgrade files on it so no big deal I didn't look very hard for it, thought maybe I put it in my pocket and it got washed or something. Anyway, I was cleaning my car out to sell it and I found it. There was a small flap of carpet that hangs partially over the base of the drivers seat where it attaches to the floor, maybe 1 inch, and my usb stick was black, the base was black, and the carpet was black and it was slipped in there somehow. Risky, but kinda low risk at the same time. So that's what inspired me to do this.
I thought about it a bit and figured go big so I ordered a dark grey and blue hp 256gb usb stick and I transferred all my stuff onto it from my 32gb stick I normally used for my stereo (songs, a couple movies, whatever active audio book I was listening to, yes, this includes our porn clips I mentioned before). Then from my pc hard drive I transferred my movies folder with about 10 movies on it, my videos folder of the full xxx videos we'd recorded, a bunch of folders that had pretty much all of the recent xxx photos we'd taken in the last three years, and then to fill space a bunch of other folders from my photos folder of a lot of our pictures like xmas, birthdays, the kids school events, no censoring on anything even the porn. Actually the one thing I did do is on my "Phone Backup" folder I deleted all the exif data because I knew it had gps info on those pictures. And then I threw in a bunch of audio books, my ebook collection, and just some other like random things I put in there, a downloads folder that had some downloaded programs, saved memes, a few saved downloaded porn pic folders, whatever until I had the drive full. I was trying to make this look like it was a normal back up drive. Just with like 150gb of our home video porn and pictures. I put the drive in that hidden spot where it could accidentally fall and that was it.
I sold the car on fb marketplace and this guy who bought it I think is about five years older than me. He could be my age, but, he does look a little older. I can't remember what he does but it was some trades work. HVAC or Plumbing or something. I was nervous as hell, but I'd already resigned myself to doing this, so when he took the keys and drove off that's all I could think about for a week and I fb stalked the guy repeatedly but he has a pretty private profile, nothing on it. Then it kinda just faded away and I thought about it less and less. I didn't get a response from him so I just went on. Thought about messaging him again but I didn't want to seem too stalkery and if he didn't find it then I mean, would I tell him where it is, or ask him if I could look for it? How weird would that be if I went right to it? I didn't know how to ask again. Then about two weeks ago he messaged me and said he did find it when he first cleaned the car and was detailing it right after he bought it. I was kinda disappointed he found it so fast because I kinda hoped no one would find it, but then glad he did. He said he kept it in the car and had been using it in the stereo for the music but hadn't deleted anything. I asked if I could meet him to please have it back and he offered to drive over and drop it off. When he came over I was so happy. Here I thought I was releasing these to the wild and then it turned out I really wanted the files back because it was the last backup I could think of that I had of them. Anyway, I told him thanks I appreciated him bringing it over and because I had that thing in my stomach I flat out asked him if he'd gone through it and he said something like "Yeah, I'll be honest, I plugged it in and looked through everything when I first found it. I thought about reaching out then but then I didn't know if you'd be embarrassed". I said "well so I guess what I thought is on here is on here huh?" and he was like "yeah, I just thought I wouldn't say anything and if you never knew ignorance is bliss right? Anyway when you messaged last week I was kinda embarrassed myself since I knew what was on it so I didn't reply right away, but then I thought how I'd feel if I lost all of my pictures of my family and stuff so that's when I replied."

I didn't censor anything, and these like intimate family pictures and everything were on there too so it was done and he's seen everything. There's all of our pictures and videos on there. I told him ok, and pretended I believed him, then I asked him if I could give him a six pack of beer for bringing it back and he said sure, we walked out to the garage and I grabbed a whole case of some stuff I had I don't drink left over from last year when we had people over before the virus, and he loaded it up and drove out. Haven't talked since. Doubt I'll talk to him ever again.
I'm almost certain he copied the whole thing, or at least all the homemade porn, so maybe it'll be out there someday, or maybe he'll just keep it and not share it because I'm a normal guy and we had this conversation about it and I gave him a case of beer as a kind gesture. I really don't know. I cant stop thinking about it. I am glad I got it back though, it's the most important stuff.
