Yes, I think that is the case. I think regarding You tube it's to stop the site tracing their videos to a porn site. I think if any videos from there were found on here, they would deem the said video on their site automatically pornographic and would then remove the video from You tube. Doing the xx on https prevents this. It also prevents people who upload videos on You tube from knowing if their video has been uploaded onto a porn site. Hope this helps.
