I live in South America, and had been in many of their countries, and didn't find many women with their zipper opened really...
I haven't been in Peru, but the rest of the countries (Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay for instance) are not a place that I assure that it's a common thing.
Brazil could be... but because Brazilian women are very different.
Maybe it's more common in the Caribbiean countries...
But here where I live, unfortunately is not that common.
