The best way to save photos and videos from Instagram is to use Firefox. Right click on the page with the photo/video on it, click 'View page info' then 'Media', and you can download the photo/video from the list that pops up, without needing to download anything extra. Might be useful if they are gonna post some decent stuff on Instagram over the next few months.
