Hormones is certainly one answer. She many have been in a particular good zone in her cycle. It is possible she wasn't fully aware and was awash with chemicals in her body pushing her to act this way unconsciously. As men we simply can't understand the incredibly complex chemical reactions that affect women due to their biology. It's often more than just hormones and chemicals in the body though, as many things socially can be positive stimulants which can lead to the perfect reaction.
OR she was acutely aware and teasing your friend! And engaged in plausible deniability!
