There's different ways of doing it really, I personally use my own customised method as it allows me to fine-tune but you can get similar results with apps, the best one being Topaz software. I also do digital photo editing so in some cases I'll render a photo out or render out different versions and then go over it to correct any mistakes or oddities. Some photos lend themselves to ai scaling better than others.
