You have to wonder if it was deliberate.

A long time ago I read something where Chris E mentioned that the psychological aspect of competition was always in her mind.

So much so that she carefully chose her outfits. Now she didn't come right out and say it, but the implication was that her showing as much panty as possible was a way to get the judges and crowd on her side. She talked around it, but that's what she meant.
