Back in the middle Aughts I stumbled across an account on the dreaded VeeDubya that made me do a double-take. The couple were occasional posters in the part of that site that is most like our own beloved OCC- the Red******
After careful consideration I concluded that this was a couple I knew- the lady and I dated and did theatre together before respectively moving from our little hometown for further horizons.
The clues were:
Profile name: Since it was so long ago I'll spell it all out: the username was "MacsJulie", which broken down thusly: My sort-of girlfriend for a while in school was <b>Julie</b>. We had fun but never went very far- she was kind of whack in those days, blowing hot and cold from one day to the next until I gave up and found my permanent girlfriend.
Julie married a guy named who went by <b>Mac</b> (he is a Mc*****) This all comes together to make the first clue.
And their little signature blurb at the bottom was a quote straight from our school theatre instructor: "We may not always be right, but we are never wrong." That's such an unusual turn of phrase that it couldn't have been coincidence. Second clue.
Lastly, the profile photo was the couple cuddled nude and shown from the waist up to their necks- no faces. The breasts of the lady had a shape that seemed familiar. Call it a half-clue. I never got at Julie's breasts but given what I recalled the girl in the profile photo could easily be her. (Quite nice assets, by the way- each tit a good handful and remaining firm and sagless even in our late 30s - early 40s) So while she may have been fairly speculative, the man was a dead ringer for "Mac"- a stout Marine who went to fat as soon as he retired from service.
Julie and I emailed a lot back in 2000-2001 and she was candid about her porn writing career, which also led me to not be surprised to se them (her) on a site like that.
So I hit them up on private message and said I know who you are and was straight up about who I was. I said I wasn't trying to spook them or be a problem; it was just a surprise and kind of fun to come across them. I mean, just like Barmixer said above - I couldn't very well give them a hard time for being there because there I was, too!!
So, the reply I got was a flat denial and nope we're not who you think we are. I think I replied once more and said to the effect of "well, we both know better but if that's how you prefer to go then OK. I promise not to bother you any further."
I did save the photo and probably had a nice "session" with her cute and ample breasts as inspiration. Julie and I have been friends on the Book for many years now. I've never brought up the earlier exchange and she has not either. But I know what I know.
