Hello Island,

I read a couple of those stories and both were written by American ladies and was about nudity in the presence of others, (doctors surgery and single sex changing rooms)
The latter regarding a changing room surprised me as the writer seemed to indicate that it was odd to strip nude in a single sex changing room? How else can you put on a swimming costume?

I wonder how she would have reacted to a visit me wife and I made to Sauna Deco in Amsterdam. (Our second visit and worth going if any readers here have a chance) There the changing room is one for male and female customers and it is normal to strip naked before going to the sauna. People wear towels or robes in the lounging area but the rest is entirely nude. This is the norm in many continental countries; America, relax a bit, it is of no consequence being seen naked by strangers, except in your own mind.

Certainly, the U.K. is not as relaxed and saunas are not generally nude (much is the pity as it is far more comfortable than having to wear wet clothes in a sauna or pool ) Undressing in a single sex changing room is normal here though.
