Many years ago my husband and I were invited to one of my best friends first art showing.

At the showing he loudly expressed that he didn't understand some of the paintings and asked why anyone would want to buy them. Being supportive of my friend I told him to stop being a jerk and not wanting him to upset my friend at her first showing told him to wait for me at a pub around the corner.
He barely lost a second in leaving.

Before the door had even closed, a woman in her mid thirties gave me a hug and said "With a man like that I would try switching to women. Do you want to try?"
