Speaking of Professors...
My life lessons from both sides...
I remember in my 2nd year of university finally understanding how it really worked. I always seemed to bump into pretty girls coming out of professors' offices. I'm not saying they were giving sexual favours in return for better grades or the like, but the few times I was able to witness pretty lasses talking to profs in their office, it just made it so obvious what was going on. Flirting to create a better relationship and by extension get better grades and extensions on assignments etc. The playing field certainly wasn't even! You might say that there was the chance to do the same with the female profs, and even though I was fairly easy on the eye as a young bloke, that didn't hold much sway when most of my female professors were lesbians!
That was when I was young and learning about the world. Once I got into the world I saw it from the side of the professors.
I did about 5 years teaching when I was younger and the amount of flirting from female students was outrageous. And sometimes I honestly believe it wasn't even flirting. The old saying, "a thing for teacher" is absolutely on the mark. I honestly believe that women were having relationships with me and I didn't even know it. You know that thing how some (too many) women throw themselves at serial killers and convicted hard criminals? There is definitely an element of that going on with teachers as well. It's not about being alpha males though, it's about authority and a position of power. Things that attract women, even if they are totally unaware of it.
And that's why sometimes, women can be both upset and turned on at the same time. That's why No can mean Yes and even Yes can mean No for some women. Complicated creatures that us simple men have tried for thousands of years to understand... the journey continues and forever may it do so!
