Ok, upon examination of these videos, I've determined what I believe to the the method they used to capture these shots.

As stated before, it's obvious that women were performing this task.

I believe these women were using baskets, or buckets (just like many of the subjects were). Contained in these baskets, are the camera and recoding device. They are small enough to be portable, and can be placed strategically, or even carried around to follow a subject.

In some cases, you can actually see the device being used. And, in a few other caes, you can see the person involved.

For example, check out: alr0093.avi

This movie is a split screen version... which means two cameras were recording simultaneously. Which leads me to belive that multiple women were involved in this project.

If you notice, in this particular movie, there is a somewhat large woman in an orange towel in the background on the left side of the screen.

Notice when the subject begins to walk past her, she grabs her "basket" (camera) and proceeds to follow the subject. You will see the view on the right side of the screen change as soon as she picks up her basket.


There are many other instances I found, but this one I think demonstrates it the best.
