All of my friends know I work on PC's. This woman called me, she was a friend of a friend, I had never met her, but she told me she had a computer problem, could she bring her PC to me. A friend of mine had recommended me to her, he told her that I could be trusted. Her problem was that she was about to leave her husband, but he had thousands of nude pics of her on his PC, she was afraid he was going to use them against her, could I erase them so they could not be recovered?
I told her I could, but it would take some time, she said he would be out of town for 3 more days, I told her that should work. If you know PC's, deleting the pics was not enough, without going into technical details, it would take a while to make them unrecoverable. The problem was the nude and sexual pics were intermingled with pics she wanted to keep, so we had to go through them almost one by one. The woman was not model material, just a regular mom and wife, but she certainly was sexually adventuresome.
