Well, the X-Files are probably gone for good, since Gillian Anderson doesn't want to play Scully anymore. Any reboot without her would be doomed to failure. Anyway, the last season of the X-Files was pretty bad even with her. Only a couple of episodes were up to standard. The show's creator, Chris Carter, apparently had his muse abducted by The Smoking Man. Gillian continues to do good work. Check her out in the Netflix show "Sex Education." With Scully gone, my basement office is frequently visited by women hoping to replace her. (See example below) Although Scully can never be replaced, the visitors give me something to do besides flipping number two pencils into the ceiling.
