Depends on your state. Some states have such extreme ****** laws that not only are in-laws off-limits, but former in-laws due to death and divorce are off-limits as well. Not joking.
That all aside, I can see how it would still upset other family members, even if you were in the free and clear.
ETA: I guess that word is censored, but I don't know what other word to use as it's technical, I guess.
