More from Brighton
I had a correspondence with one our Forum's Favorite Fotogs and here is his summation of last weekend's rides:
London was a disappointment - mostly because so many decided not to do it on account of the heavy rain just about everywhere surrounding the capital. They just assumed it would be awful in the city too, whereas no rain fell at all and there was plenty of sunshine later on. Most of the riders seemed to be first timers, at least among the women, and many were nervous, not helped by the ride getting a load of abuse from some far right protesters near Westminster Bridge. The tension led to many looking uneasy in pictures and so there were less opportunities for good shots this year, at least as far as I was concerned.
Brighton was excellent. Weather was mediocre but those taking part really seemed to enjoy it. With Sini Manner and her platoon of feminazis now ousted and no longer part of the event, things were a lot more laid back. I could have taken a lot more snaps than I did but decided to not push it at any point where the ride wasn't actually in motion.
So, to go along with this insight here are some pics from the renowned Funk Dooby!
