Obviously you are correct that your underage wife was young and presumably hot and a mom, but it's quite well understood that MILF means a Mom I'd Like to Fuck, and that the statement was created in a movie where it's someone the same age as the child of the MILF who wants to fuck the mother of someone in his class.
So the clear analogy is that MILF implied a woman in her 30's at best, and possibly 40's. It'd be hypersensitive of you or your wife to take offense to being left out of the MILF catagory, unless she feels no longer attractive now that she's (some unknown amount) older. And yes, cougars are typically in their 40's and 50's.
If someone wants to see a sexy young (17yr old) woman, this site is the place for it, but not in the MILF or Mature threads. She'd belong in the Young or Cute Amateur or other threads, and the mods remove most kids in any pictures that would otherwise "prove" motherhood, anyway.
