Maintenance Guy-2
Alrighty Part 2
So let me preface this by saying my wife loves two things when the kids are away.One is napping and two being completely nude around the apartment. On this particular day she had to delay both because were expecting the maintenance guy to come and fix the bathroom sink. He gave us a 3hr window of arrival being between 2 and 5pm.
Well it was now 5:30 and my wife was pissed that she waited for him to arrive and he never showed up. I figured that with all the damage to the area cause by Hurricane Florence he was backlogged. The front office closed at 5:00 so we both expected that we'd get a phone call the following day for a rescheduled appointment. I really didn't care but she was heated. I avoided her anger by saying I was going to mail box. Grabbed my keys and left her in the living room on the phone.
On my way to the mailbox and ran into our neighbor. We began talking about sports and other things when the maintenance guy drove up on the golf cart loaded with his tools. It was after hours, but he offered a heartfelt apology saying that he was shorthanded this week but wanted to take a quick look at the issue. I told him sure that she was in the process of calling the front office to find out what happened when I left. He grabbed his tools and hurry down the corridor towards our unit.
Now he wasn't in our apartment but maybe 30 seconds or so before returning to his cart and saying he'd return tomorrow. 10 to 15 more minutes passed before I went back to our unit. Placed the mail on the counter and shouted "What did the guy say?" No response. I said it again and again no response. Strange. So I walk through the living room to the bedroom and there she was. My wife, on the bed, on top of all the covers, arms over her face, legs spread and completely nude, completely asleep.
When she awoke an hour or so later I made no mention of maintenance guy visit. Instead I asked so what's the plan for the sink. She replied the front desk would reschedule for tomorrow. I still haven't told her about his stop by.
