IMO, art models are exhibitionists and they must get a bit of the thrill out of posing nude, especially in the case of these vintage shots where they women were totally nude in front of a room full of men. Back then it must have been a bit of a taboo. Don't get me wrong, being an art model is actually hard work. I know this because I was an art major in college and we put them in some very difficult poses.
My wife used to be an art model and she admitted it was exciting at time especially if there were a good looking man or two in the class. She's past that now though but in the day she was an exhibitionist.
