...with some excitement, I opened the email that clearly came from J***e. Funnily, the content was pretty much what she said she would send, information on the UK HAI courses for beginners. It was now the end of August and the autumn course was full. I could put myself down as a reserve (all courses are gender balanced 50% Male and 50% female) should a Male drop out. I decided that as I had to book flights to the UK, I'd wait and reserve a place for May the next year.

Very little was mentioned about our ‘fling' so I presumed that was just what it was. I replied, thanking her not just for these details, but for company and hoped our interlude had set on her course to find her ‘Mr Right', or as she would say ‘the one’ in her life.

The next day, I received a reply from HAI office in the UK confirming my place in the Spring Level 1 course to take place at Buckland Hall (in Wales) next year....subject to gender balance! I pondered telling J by email but thought I'd better leave it.

A week later, J***e emailed me again and what I read made my jaw drop...she wrote “ Dear (pedro...not my real name!), I've been back home for two weeks and try as I might, I can't get you out of my head! I know that I stated the last thing I wanted was a long range relationship and maybe I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing writing this...but I need to see you again, I have a nagging feeling you might be ‘the one’ and I think if we spent more time together, it might prove my hunch is right. If you have any thoughts that you might just feel the same about me, I've got five weeks before I go back to studying and I am free to come out and see you in Spain...if you want me, that is.

My head spun, she wants to see me again and will fly out if I agree. I reply at once, yes please!

A week later, I picked her up from Malaga Airport and whisked her straight to a friend's villa that I look after, when they are not in Spain. They had given their blessing we could base ourselves there for her stay as my own house was still shared with my ex. As she got out of the car (we'd kept our conversation very controlled in the car) she came over and we instantly locked ourselves in a very deep and sexual kiss.
