My mother worked with this girl, Rose, who, according to my her, had a crush on me, let's just say mom didn't approve of some of Rose's life choices. At the time I had a serious GF and Rose wasn't my type, she was a little rough around the edges, today Rose would have tats, piercings and dress in black.
My mother didn't drive, I went to pick her up one afternoon and I had to wait because she was in a meeting. I was sitting there just chatting with Rose, she looked around to see if anyone could hear her then said "I know you have a cute little preppy girlfriend, but if you go out with me I'll take you places she's never heard of."
Even at 18 I knew a cheesy line from a bad movie when I heard one, but Rose had me stammering like a 5th grader. No, I never went out with her, the preppy GF was pretty hot too, but I sure thought about it.
