My wife posed naked for a cancer charity project showing off her scars a few years back. It was more explicit than the typical naked calendar thing. People we know were very positive and enthusiastic about it. "I think you're very brave to do that" was the standard comment they made. Nevertheless, it did irritate me when I saw sneering comments about it online by one or two strangers along the lines of "why do these women always need to take their clothes off?".

Therefore, I can see why you were annoyed at that guy. You shouldn't though - you and your wife generously shared something with him and he disrespected it. As you say, he is a dick. I think my wife took the attitude that if anyone reacted badly to her photos, it was their problem not hers.
