Apartment Maintenance Guy - Part 1
Our long time maintenance guy will soon be leaving to work for another one of the developer's properties. He's a nice older gentleman. Very soft spoken. During our time here I've known him to be especially nice to my wife. Knowing that he'd soon be leaving us, I took this opportunity to give him a few going away memory.
Part 1:
So this was the easy one.
Every month the maintenance guy comes to the apartment and changes the air filter for the central air system. These air filters are all located in the same place in each apartment and that is on a side panel right behind the front door. This also happens be behind the built-in computer workstation, which every apartment has.
My computer is a dinosaur of a machine. On top of that is very finicky. The slightest jostle causes the mouse to move and the desktop will come to life.
It was the first weekend of the month which is when he normally comes to change the air filter. Everyone had left the for the weekend except me. So while having a few drinks, I thought it would be a fun idea to use a few of my wife's pictures as backgrounds for my computer desktop. I felt pretty safe playing around with different settings on the computer knowing that no one would be home for 2 more days. I narrow things down to a handful of photos. I opted for the pics that depicted my wife in various poses that also included some backgrounds or furniture pieces from the apartment. I wanted him to be able to identify that it was her and in this apartment.
Unfortunately I was not there when the maintenance guy came to change the air filter. But I can tell that the mouse was moved from its original location on the left side of the desk to the right side.
