I am an armed security officer in an industry that cannot accept trespassers of any kind. Our company property includes miles of shoreline, all of which is protected by cameras, intrusion devices and security patrols.The city our company is located in has a boardwalk along its beach, which is popular with tourists. The boardwalk ends where company property starts and the boundary is clearly marked with gates and "No tresspassing" signs. Still, occasionally people will ignore the signs, climb over the gates and continue down the shoreline. They always get caught.
One warm summer day I was the mobile patrol officer when a call came over the radio about two tresspassers on the shore. I was directed to the area and was told that they had stopped, laid out a blanket and appeared to be sunbathing. I parked the truck, made my way through the woods and down to the water's edge. I started walking along, searching for the pair of interlopers while being directed by officers manning the cameras.
I didn't know what to expect, but it seemed pretty routine and the intruders seemed pretty harmless. As I was nearing their location, I started to hear laughter coming over the radio. Whoever was directing me was doing a good job of maintaining radio protocol with the exception of that laughter. I asked a number of times what was so funny, but I got no answer.
Finally, I found our tresspassers after I rounded a bend and walked around a big boulder. There, on the other side of the rock was a 16 year old girl on her hands and knees on the blanket, completely naked. She was getting railed from behind by her 20 y.o. and equally naked boyfriend! Judging by the laughter on my radio (which they didn't even hear due to the ocean waves, I guess), they had been going at it for some few minutes before I got there.
He noticed me first and stopped mid-stroke. She looked back at him, followed his eyes to me and screamed. She immediately disengaged and pulled the blanket around herself. He pulled on his bathing trunks after he managed to untangle them from her blanket.
I explained to them that they were illegally tresspassing on private property and that they had to leave ASAP. She did her best to find her bathing suit and get dressed while wrapped in the blanket but soon gave up. She asked me to turn around so she could get dressed but I told her I couldn't do that for safety reasons. She dropped the blanket and dressed while her boyfriend tried to shield her from my view.
I took down their information and as I walked them back to the boardwalk, I explained that we wouldn't report them unless they ever returned. They both promised me they wouldn't. Then the guy asked me how it was that I found them. I explained to him about the cameras and even pointed out a couple to them. I explained that they had been sighted and recorded from the time they stepped onto company property! Of course, she was mortified and asked if the video would be erased. I lied and told her that it would. In reality, all video is archived onto harddrives and kept.
