Cross-country flight
We were living on the East Coast; I was on a business trip to San Diego. She flew out to meet me for the weekend, and when I met her at the arrival gate (this was back in the days before securuty zones), she stepped off the plane wearing only a short trench coat and heels, having made the entire flight that way. We made it as far as the nearest elevator before the coat came off.
