with opera eg u can save the file properly via
save as or
save target as but when using
save in download folder you get attachment.php
this results of he fact, that this forum saves every attachment in a, i call it, "hidden place", and this attachment.php is a "prog" which says the browser, where this attachment is, by recieving the id ...

red part: url to the programm
blue part: sending the programm the necessary information to redirect to the attachment
and its name ...
so .. u can save the file by following the path the programm gives you, or you can save it directly, but then u haven't got the original name ...
don't know why it's this complicated, but this is the way it works
