Years ago when scanners were expensive and required special ISA cards, I had one of the few. A buddy of mine wanted to know if he could come over and scan some old family pictures for safe storage. I told him "No problem, just bring a stack of CD's or an external storage device to put them on" His wife was a chubby cutie, and knowing him I suspected he wanted to scan some nudes of her to trade on BBS boards. The scanner software stored everything scanned in a cache as well as the regular directory, I could select what size files I wanted, before he came I put it on the largest setting.
He came over with a stack of grandma & grandpa pics, so I showed him how it worked and got out of the way, I figured if he had some nudes he wasn't going to scan them in front of me. After about an hour he said he was finished, he scanned directly to an external drive, he made a point of telling me that none of his pics were on my hard drive.
I checked the cache and there they were, dozens of old family pics and dozens of polaroids of him and his wife in every sexual position you could imagine. Gotcha.
