You're first statement is right on, and I plead guilty to not having posted anything original, although I've posted plenty of pics I've found somewhere on the net. I assume most people here post pics for similar reasons: We enjoy sharing what we've found. Otherwise we could just spend all of our free time gazing at our pics, with one hand on the mouse and the other...well, you know.
While I don't mind if people don't say, "Thank You", I wouldn't mind some guidance occasionally about what people like or don't like. And I don't even mind reasonable requests, except as you point out in your last statement.
