Default Review of 3 Productions

I've seen 3 productions over the past week.

1 Rita, Sue and Bob. (Royal Court) Interesting play but no real nudity. You see part of Bob's bum and the girls remove their knickers but you cant see anything. Taj Awtwal is gorgeous (and has lovely legs) and the whole cast very good. The play was interesting in depicting attitudes and the naivety of the time compared to the stricter 'Big Brother' attitudes of today - but you wont see much flesh!

2 Room 40 (Laban). Part of a double bill last week at Laban the second half of Room 40 has the dancer Daniela Komedera completely nude for about 15 minutes. She is very attractive and has a lovely body. Unfortunately the lighting was strange (above and slightly behind) and the movement mostly sliding in water so not easy to watch. Indeed the whole concept and routine I found hard to watch. There is a trailer which is typical of the show.

3 Rigoletto - Ellen Kent tour. A fairly low budget but enjoyable version of the famous Verdi Opera Rigoletto. The interesting part in the first 15 minutes. The scene is the ducal palace where the Duke is holding a "pleasure" party. There are 2 Muses. When the curtain rises both have their bare backs to the audience. As the scene develops they turn around and walk forward with see through scarves covering their breast. Fortunately as they moved their breasts frequently become exposed (one was more coy than the other) so it was fun to watch. During this scene one of the other characters is completely exposed and you get a brief full fontal view of her completely naked. Then a few minutes later it happens again. I believe that all three actresses are probably Ukrainian and are all attractive. Unfortunately this is the end of the nudity. The rest of the production was an enjoyable (if sad) light opera with very well known music.

It is on tour currently to a number of theatre that include ATG

I believe it is also on elsewhere in the country.
