French beaches
I am familiar with the beaches of SW France, particularly the area between Arcachon and Biarritz,
I know from observation that frequently people will come onto the beach during a lunch break, sunbathe, then return to work.
If you locate yourself away from the beach entries, to the majority areas where the beach is backed by dunes and forest, the lunchtime bathers will join most everyone else, and sunbathe nude.
