I think it depends on the couple and a lot on the guy - Since I had it the first time, I've at least tried it with all of my partners and enjoyed it multiple times with most. But I take a long time to play with her ass first, as in multiple sessions working up from just touching the starfish to eating it to fingertips etc, step by step. I know men who don't take that time or effort and wonder why they don't get it offered to them - idiots! Not every woman comes to love it, but it's so easy to turn them off by being clumsy or rough or otherwise giving them a bad experience.
I do think it's more acceptable now to do and talk about than in the past, but how it's done matters hugely.
