Ah, thank you. You just had me confused a bit. Here we are talking about restoring old pics and you just threw out there that you bought a new scanner and nobody complained. And that was it, nothing further and no expansion on what you meant. To be honest, my first thought was "What does that have to do with this thread?" Now your previous post makes a bit more sense.
As to your second point, once it hits the Internet, it's out there. No putting that genie back in the bottle. Even if you manage to erase EVERY pic you ever posted and control access to the only physical copies, SOMEONE out there has a copy or copies, somewhere. From the most beautiful diva to the most horrendous person, somebody, somewhere,has a copy. I've seen people so ugly it makes you flinch just to look at them, but somebody, somewhere, has copies of their photos if they were put on the Internet. To be honest, I've never really been sure why.
The best you can do is as you mentioned, but just realize you will never get rid ALL of them.
