Talking about material, it's the same as the new gymnast leotards, they are a lot thicker in the crotch region these days, almost like stretchy rubber. You will find a lot of cameltoes in amateur gymnastic photos, since the leotards are cheap but not many at all on the professional gymnasts. Didn't see many at all during the Rio Olympic games.
At the Rio games, each of the American Olympic Gymnastic womens team had the following:- 12 training leotards and 8 competition ones. The competition leotards cost between $700 to $1,200 each, which is even more than the cost of the metal that goes into an Olympic gold and that's not including the specially designed underwear which they all need. For those costs you want to keep your modesty, unfortunately this is at the cost of the spectators. Can't have it all ways..
