all contributions to a thread if the originator wants it deleted (even/especially if that originator isn't leaving OCC, just selectively pulling back from some positions he now regrets), what possible motivation is there for anyone to post anywhere except in a thread of his/her own, thus, if not burying and interring, at least leaving on life support the single characteristic that to my mind distinguishes this site from others:
