This weekend just gone was the last hurray for much of the place. The foam parties ended and some of the bars and restaurants closed. There is a real end of season feeling about the place. The Melrose had about 20 people in it on Sunday night and didn't open at all last night. It should still be lively enough on Fridays and Saturdays when a lot of outsiders come on site.
The beach will continue to be fairly busy on good days but there has been a crazy wind for much of the last week which made it uncomfortable. The forecast for this coming weekend is good so there should be a decent crowd there.
