In any case Charlie is a bit of a hero of mine, along with Gerd Berendt of Sonnenfreunde fame. These guys made no attempt whatsover to hide their blatant and shameless focus on young, beautiful women.

Agreed. And why shouldn't he? While sensual and erotic, the "golden age" H&E never lapsed into tastelessness or tackiness. It's probably difficult for those grew up with internet and porn on tap to understand the special place that H&E had for a lot of guys. It was certainly a formative experience for me. Hell, all these years later I still enjoy seeing them.
Charlie has spend the past few decades in the company of beautiful naked models and has generously shared with us the fruits of his labours. Hats off to him. (The shadows still bug me a little, though...
