Going for Novelty
Anyone done something a little out of the ordinary with their significant other's photos?
I have the ability to transfer artwork and photos to mugs. Regular white mugs, but also color-change mugs. So I got an idea, found a couple of my favorite photos of the wife, printed them out and pressed them to a color-change mug. Mug looks totally black normally, but you add hot water and, voila', naked wifey! Also fun because it starts at the bottom and goes up, so you see the good bits before you get to the face.
I waited several days after making it to show her. She was shocked when she figured out what was appearing, but later laughed, saying at least the colors came out well. The mug is currently up on a high shelf and may not see use until winter rolls around again and it's time for hot chocolate. But it's fun knowing that it's there.
