There's a sit com where three journalists (two women and a man, who are the leads of the show) are assigned a nudist colony story. They strip and get to see each other naked, and a lot is made about that. But as they're sitting in the nudist restaurant, waiting for the members to enter, they are mortified when they all come in dressed, and they are the only ones nude.
For anyone interested, re: the St. Elsewhere situation listed: No. In real practice, hospitals DO NOT do this, nor have they ever staged such a drill. There is no logic or reasoning behind it. The standard of care which medical facilities have to maintain (regarding the use of scalples and other equipment, etc.) akes medical surgery no better or worse whether one is naked or not. And the notion that "you have to get used to working naked because you never know..." would not mandate such a drill to be performed. I guess it was done to boost the ratings. (Also, there are a great many "must do" jobs during wartime. You don't have arms factories and the Pentegon staff running around naked as part of a drill.)
