I was always hampered with less than perfect equipment as you have to be willing or wealthy enough to not worry about losing or damaging your camera. I used cheaper devices, just in case, which is a shame as the subject matter deserved better. All academic now as I'm now in northern Europe without any beaches to photograph!

cool to have some news Pedro, sad to read that you've no more beaches around you now...but just to tell you that I'm in a simillar situation too...only rivers here and that's not the same that on european beaches
