Something that I've always found kind of puzzling...I think part of the appeal of this (particular fetish) is the whole "damsel in distress" aspect...either the viewer identifies with the "captor" or else the idea of finding and rescuing the girl; but regardless; to fit the concept, the girl typically is not happy about the situation, so when I see a picture of a woman tied up but sporting a big ear to ear smile, the (smiling/happy) facial expression seems very out of place.

I remember seeing a photo here once where it was an older vintage photo of a naked woman tied up in a living room surrounded by about 8 to 10 fully dressed men...the wide-eyed look of shock/terror was perfect..."where did these guys come from?""why in the world did you let all your friends in here?" "OMG, what's going to happen to me?"
