Of course we do. Eye contact is important in all communication. They are indeed the windows into the soul. It's hard to hide emotions when you make eye contact. When I'm having sex with someone, I want to be able to read their emotions. Is she liking this? Am I turning her on? Do I need to stop? Maybe this next bit is true for some men, but for me, it's not a power thing...you know, "Look at me! Say my name!" For me it's all about connection and knowing she's expressing pleasure, displeasure...or love.
