I once managed a commercial photo lab, back in the late 60's and early 70's. Back then, things were changing as to what we had to "censor" and not return to someone who'd taken explicit photos. Meaning, we couldn't return certain prints, but were required to return their negatives (Slide film was a different matter). We would include a statement, filled with all the proper 'legalize' in the customer's return envelope telling them why some of their order was not included. Naturally, those photos would eventually end up in my office in a file cabinet which I kept locked. You can only guess how fast that cabinet filled up with all sorts of homemade porn and I won't tell where they went from there.
